What kind of school can I get into?
I live in Canada and I am definitely in the top 10% of my class
Right now i'm just looking for some Safety schools in the US. But am aiming for an ivy league school. My latest practice SAT was 2160.
That all depends on what kind of school you want to get into. Are you more leaning towards a four year private university like Harvard, Princeton or Baylor? Do you want to go into a four year state/public university in your state or schools with great credentials. Other things you need to think about is what you want to do to college for...are you wanting to go into a technical school, a four year university, etc...
Think about what you want to study and what you want out of college FIRST.
You can get into a variety of school because you have more of a different "resume" than most twelfth graders applying for school. You have tons of volunteer hours, in which schools will love. And you are active in school and outside of school; you have the motivation and time to help your community and school. The fact that you have your own business is superb! What colleges that I applied to told me was they like creativity and something that wows them.
You certainly have those credentials, but ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT IS HOW YOU HAVE DONE THROUGHOUT HIGH SCHOOL.
Your grades are a big part and if you have gotten straight A's you're pretty much good because you have diversity, so don't settle on being average academically. Try and be more than average and work your but off to have good grades and do all of your other activities
