Badminton: What string tension should i use ?
I am using Yonex Arcsaber 7. I play full-offensive and is looking for a string tension which can provide Ultimate smashing power and loud hitting sound.
Any advice on the string tension to use ? Thanks ...
The Arcsaber 7 was not listed in my 2008 Stringer's Digest but I did find it online (link below). The suggested range is 18 to 24 lbs, mid-range being 21 lbs. As the poster above said, lower tension provides more power. The only way I can think of to get the loud hitting sound you refer to would be from the string type itself. Lean towards a stiffer string such as polyester or Kevlar.
